Graphic design is a profession that has evolved greatly over the last decade.  Many Students enter a program based on professional expectations for a career. I choose graphic design based on the belief that art influences the world, myself included.  Art makes me feel things and allows me to express my feelings.  My art can illustrate happiness or deepest despair. When seen, the viewer may exhibit those same emotions.  Art talks to people, it whispers to their soul in the darkest of times and sings to it in the happiest ways.  It can mirror their feelings or even change them.  Art makes you think and examine your feelings, art can change the world. I want to be a part of that.  I want to make people feel something when they see my work. I want to influence the world for the better by using my talents.  Art is in everything we see. It is in our furniture, clothes, accessories in our homes, cars, and the products we buy.  Art ignites our passion for things.  I believe that my art centers me, it is the flame that gets me out of bed in the mornings.  I believe that my art could inspire someone to be better.  I would want to make something that could be used in everyday life. I can use my talent to influence someone’s day just by seeing it.  Graphic design is in everything we do and see.  It is in every purchase people make, and the emotions they feel.  I believe hard work and the ability to want to learn, would make me a great student to be a future graphic designer.  My admission into the graphic design program will not only change my life but could change the world.
